Native factor h from human serum. Single-chain multi-functional glycoprotein present in normal human serum at about 500μg/ml. Regulates formation and function of complement c3 and c5 convertase enzymes. A c3b-binding protein that does not exhibit enzymatic activity. Regulatory activity is attributed to its ability to recognize and bind to c3b fragments.
