Prolactin Recombinant Protein, RP-10909, from Invitrogen.Prolactin (PRL) is a pituitary hormone involved in the stimulation of milk production, salt and water regulation, growth, development and reproduction. PRL exerts its influence on different cell types through a signal transduction pathway which begins with the binding of the hormone to a transmembrane PRL receptor. The RP-10909 protein is a recombinant protein suitable for use as a control in ELISA and Western blot applications. RP-10909 is reported to have the additional biological activity: ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of the proliferation of rat lymphoma Nb2-11 cells is <0.065ng/mL. Store lyophilized product at -20C. Upon reconstitution, store at 4C for 2-7 days or aliquot and store at -20. For long term storage add either HSA or BSA to 0.1%.
