Traditional urease and indole tests require long incubation and require special handling for anaerobes. The urea/indole wee-tab gives results for both urease and indole production, incubates aerobically for 2-4 hours, and has 28 ready to use tubes per package. The tablets are stored at room temperature with a long shelf life. Key urea/indole tests may be used for enterics and other types of bacteria, including anaerobes and campylobacter species.
