Mouse Anti-Fyve (Alfy Domain), Clone: 5b11.1,, Mouse Monoclonal Antibody, Each

630.45

Details:

Specifically detects FYVE (Alfy domain) clone: 5B11.1 in Human samples, and it is validated for Immunocytochemistry, Immunoprecipitation, Western BlottingPhosphatidylinositol-3-phosphate [PtdIns(3)P] regulates endocytic and autophagic membrane traffic. PtdIns(3)P-binding proteins, many of which contain FYVE zinc-finger domains play important roles in the metabolism of PtdIns(3)P. The FYVE-protein Alfy, is a large, scaffolding, multi-domain, PtdIns(3)P binding protein that is implicated in autophagy trafficking. Alfy is widely expressed and localizes to the nuclear membranes during normal cell health but relocalizes to autophagic membranes and ubiquitin containing aggregates during cellular stress. Alfy is also a LC3 binding protein and binds GABARAPs too. Binding of Alfy to GABARAP is indispensable for its recruitment to LC3B-positive structures and thus, for the clearance of certain p62 structures by autophagy. Latest research indicates that Alfy is also important in regulating autophagy's role in various diseases including rheumatoid arthritis and neurological diseases.
