Details
Ip10 (mouse) recombinant protein, rp-8668, from invitrogen. The chemokine ip-10 (or cxcl10) is a chemokine made by monocytes, endothelial cells and fibroblasts in response to treatment with ifngamma. Ip-10 functions as a chemoattractant to cells expressing the g protein-coupled receptor, cxcr3, which is found mainly on activated t cells and nk cells. Ip-10 plays an important role in th1 type inflammatory diseases and autoimmune diseases such as, hashimoto's thyroiditis, graves' disease and type 1 diabetes mellitus. Recombinant mouse mcp-1 is a non-glycosylated protein, containing 125 amino acids, with a molecular weight of 13.8 Kda. Purity is typically greater than 97% and endotoxin level less than 1 eu/ug. The expected biological activity (ed50) is determined by the ability to chemoattract human pbmcs or thp-1 cells at 4-15 ng/ml. The specific activity of this protein is 2.5X10^5 units/mg. Reconstitute using sterile water at 0.1Mg/ml and centrifuge prior to opening vial. Gently pipet solution down the sides of the vial. Do not vortex sample. Store reconstituted material at -20°c and add 0.1% Bsa for additional stability.
