Grades 6–10. These days, students are exposed to media information about leading a healthy lifestyle by eating right and exercising, yet they may not be aware of the reasons why leading such a lifestyle is important. Investigating digestion and motion explores digestive processes and organs, nutrients and vitamins, and the musculoskeletal system, all key elements of a healthy body.Stc-secondary is a 16-unit, inquiry-centered middle school science curriculum developed by the smithsonian science education center (ssec). Each stc-secondary unit provides opportunities for students to experience scientific phenomena firsthand. A comprehensive, research-based curriculum, stc-secondary is aligned with the national science education standards.The 1-class unit comes with a teacher's edition, unit technology pack (digital access to the teacher edition and digital student access to the student guide), 16 reusable hardbound student guides (item #976803), and the materials needed for a teacher to teach up to 32 students per day.
